How we use your data.
We only use the personal data you have given us to provide the service that you require e.g delivering your order, set up your wholesale account or in setting up your Freebird Family Subscription, or if we feel it is in your legitimate interest to contact you in order to further assist you or give you information that you may find useful.

If purchasing something from us we use the data you give us, such as your address and name, to complete your order and provide the best service.
We use a third party to process your payment information ourselves. We are PCI compliant and we do not store your credit card information. It will be processed by either Paypal or Stripe. Both of these providers have their own privacy policies which we recommend you refer to.
When you browse our website, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
If you set up and account on our website we will store your name, address, email, telephone number and order history. Our website is secure (https/ssl) and all passwords are encrypted.

As an independent, growing business we also use some of your order data internally to learn more about our customers buying patterns and other product so we can improve our product development and customer experience. When you set up your account or purchase online we email your order information and then follow up with emails containing the things we think you might want to know, based on your purchases. E.g. recipe ideas, discount codes for the website, future similar products or events.
As a member of our Freebird Family monthly subscription service, we will also add your email to the Freebird Family newsletter so we can communicate about your membership. Please be aware that if you decide to unsubscribe you may not hear about all the aspects of your membership.

As a member of our subscription service, we need to retain the data you give us and allow our team access. We will keep hold of this data for the duration of your subscription unless otherwise requested.
Upon cancellation, we may retain a limited amount of information for two years unless otherwise instructed. As well as other legal and accounting purposes, this is to allow us to provide the best service to you if you re-join and to allow us statistical insights into our subscription cycles.
Your payment details are processed and stored by our payment provider, Stripe. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI_DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCards, American Express and Discover.
We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedure to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.
In the event of a data breach or potential breaches we have procedures in place to inform the appropriate authorities within 24 hours and to anyone affected by a breach within 72 hours. If you have any queries or concerns about the data usage please contact us.
